Now available, +4 hard deck lid

I had purchased a set of Commercially Marketed Components for the body but realized they were not going to provide the look I was after. In the front fenders for sure I was after a much longer unit with finishing on the edges. On the nose I wanted finishing details on the sides, and a return on the bottom.

The Nose:

I believe you all will agree the wait was worth it.

We have available the Nose (book or +4), Scuttle in a +4, 10" front fenders and 9"rears.

Our piece will fit a book, as well as both of our offerings. We also offer a pre-made NACA duct.

The nose has a total height of 19.5", with 16" from the rest on the top frame rail to the bottom. The front opening is 8.5 x 16", and it is 24.5" wide at the rear. It weighs 4 lbs. The +4 is exactly the same except for the additional width.

The Deck lid:

This is a piece I am quite fond of. I asked Martin to make up some sort of simple cover for the hole in the back. I did not like the typical vinyl topper. Hard to see in the picture but it has vinyl texture in the mold. It is made to fir a +4 chassis but you could quite easily take a filet out of it to down size. I am using the latch and remote release from the RX-7 hatch to leave the top clean. I have stainless steel hinges.

The Fenders:

The Plug:

The comparison:

The fender is not yet in place, in fact it's on backwards. The leading edge is straight across and the trailing is curved for effect. It is just sitting on a couple of spacers for general effect.

Rear

Here is a picture of the available tail light pedestal loose and installed. They are available loose for you to choose your location. They look great with two 2" round lights  as well.

The car has a bit of finishing to go yet, but this is on a +4 chassis, 1st Gen RX-7 axle and wheels with 205/60-14's. With the 230lbs driver in it it drops just enough to be a perfect fit.

(Guys, this may be hard to believe but I have no formal photography training !! 8-)
